Meanwhile people have to have abilities beyond their professional qualification to operate with confidence in international surroundings. This affects their behavior within the domestic territories towards cultures from abroad as well as their acting as a foreigner in another country. This qualification is fairly known as “intercultural competence”. It describes the ability of reflecting the meaning of the own culture and individual or national identities and having this meaning in mind especially within intercultural context. Intercultural competence contains the ability of conscious communication with people from other cultures and goes beyond knowing different languages. People who have grown up with different cultures or have learned to integrate in other cultures are able to develop intercultural competence throughout their special socialization. This ability has to be facilitated and certified as a professional qualification and potential next to management style, human resource management and capacity for teamwork. The project “intercultural driver´s license” has the aim of exchanges between professionals, who are willing to swap essential criteria of intercultural competences, possibilities of their promoting, determination process, certification and implementation in European qualification frames within a two years partnership. Another basis for this project is the project CEMES, which is supported by the EU since 2004. This project successfully develops tests for specialist competence of different professions and executes them in many European countries or rather transfers them and used to develop. It shall be analyzed if intercultural competences can be identified with "Intercultural Training" - based processes.
